Type

letters typed one by one.

  • Typewriter: Typed a letter at a time behind a blinking cursor.

Soft

words that come into focus, rise or open out, quietly.

  • Blur in: Each word comes into focus, dim and soft to sharp.
  • Blur in by line: Each line comes into focus in turn, dim and soft to sharp.
  • Soft rise: Each word rises a little, soft and dim, into place.
  • Soft lift: Each word settles down a little from above, soft and dim.
  • Stagger fade: The letters fade in one after another.
  • Tracking in: The letters close in from wide spacing as they sharpen.
  • Tracking out: The letters open out from tight spacing as they appear.
  • Open out: The letters spread from bunched together into their spacing, soft to sharp.

Reveal

words that slide into place or come out from behind a mask.

  • Mask rise: Each line rises into view from behind an invisible edge.
  • Mask wipe: Each line is wiped on from the left, as if written.
  • Mask drop: Each line drops into view from behind an edge above it.
  • Slide up: The letters slide up into place one after another.
  • Slide down: The letters slide down into place one after another.
  • Slide left: The letters arrive from the right, one after another.
  • Slide right: The letters arrive from the left, one after another.

Kinetic

words that land with weight: stomps, pops, drops and bounces.

  • Stomp: Each word lands from large, hard, one beat at a time.
  • Stomp lines: Each line lands from large, hard, in turn.
  • Punch: Each word springs out from nothing and wobbles to rest.
  • Pop: Each letter pops up from nothing with a little overshoot.
  • Scale in: The letters grow from nothing into place.
  • Zoom in: Each word flies out of the middle of the line, growing to its place.
  • Drop: Each word drops in from above and bounces to rest.
  • Bounce: Each letter bounces up from nothing into place.
  • Scatter: The letters fly in from all over the frame and gather into the word.

Turn

letters and words that turn into place in 3D.

  • Flip in: Each letter turns down into place, like a departure board.
  • Flip over: Each letter turns up into place from beyond the top.
  • Tumble: The letters fall in turning and tilting, and land upright.
  • Spin in: Each letter spins up from nothing into place.
  • Slant flip: Each word arrives turned over its baseline and leaning, then straightens.
  • Lean in: The letters land large and leaning, and straighten one by one.

Signal

words that scramble, glitch or blow in like dust.

  • Decode: Each letter scrambles through other characters before it settles.
  • Code: Every letter turns to code at once, then each locks onto its own.
  • Glitch in: Each word flickers in through digital glitches.
  • Dust: Each word blows in as specks of dust that gather into letters.

Color

words that arrive in an accent color and settle to their own.

  • Tint in: The letters arrive in an accent color and settle to their own.
  • Tint rise: Each word rises in an accent color and settles to its own.
  • Step in: Words step in one at a time, dim to bright, from a little to the right.
